Hilda Marina Cevallos Teanga nacio en San Antonio de Ibarra en la provicia de Imbabura. Era hija de Manuel Cevallos y Maria Teanga. Tuvo dos hermanas, Teresa y Carmela, y un hermano Gonzalo. Trabajo como costurera en una institucion de ninos en Quito.

Despues de casi veinte anos busco una nueva vida en Nueva Orleans en los Estados Unidos. Paso a Nueva York donde se reunio con su esposo Mesias Chamorro. Concibieron un hijo llamado Mario Chamorro que nacio en Massachusetts donde encontraron trabajo en fabrica y hotel. Trabajando dia y noche ahorraron para comprar casa, educar a su hijo y construir este edificio.

Nunca olvido su tierra natal, sus cerros y sus Pasillos. Su animal favorito fue el elefante .

Hilda Marina Cevallos Teanga was born in San Antonio de Ibarra in the province of Imbabura . She was the daughter of Manuel Cevallos and Maria Teanga . She had two sisters, Teresa and Carmela and a brother named Gonzalo . She worked as a seamstress in a childrens' home in Quito .

After nearly twenty years she sought a new life in New Orleans in the United States . She moved to New York where she was reunited with her husband Mesias Chamorro . They conceived a child named Mario Chamorro that was born in Massachusetts where they found work in a paper mill and hotel . Working day and night, they saved to buy a home, educate their son, and construct this building .

She never forgot her native land, its mountains and its Pasillos . Her favorite animal was the elephant .
